Produced in compliance with the regulations of the Consorzio Mortadella Bologna PGI.  Perfect on an antipasto platter or in a panino. Gluten free.

Description

MORTADELLA piece or sliced

An iconic, finely emulsified pork sausage from Bologna, made with at least 15–28% small cubes of pork fat (“lardelli”) and flavored traditionally with black pepper, nutmeg, coriander, and occasionally pistachios or myrtle. Its smooth, silky texture and mildly sweet-savory taste make it a beloved staple of Italian cuisine.

  • Appearance: Uniform pale-pink slice with visible white fat cubes

  • Flavor & aroma: Delicate, slightly nutty, subtly spiced, elegantly balanced

  • Texture: Velvety and moist; achieved through slow cooking in dry-air ovens
